What to bring

  • Be sure to carry a valid ID or your passport, as it may be required for verification during the trip.
  • If you intend to book the student rate, ensure you bring a valid ISIC card and have it ready to show before departure.
  • Carry some Czech koruna, as smaller stands and festival booths often accept only cash payments.
  • Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, as Český Krumlov’s cobblestone streets and sloped lanes can be uneven and require a stable footing.
  • Bring a warm layer or light jacket, because the weather in South Bohemia is cooler and windier than in Prague, even in summer.
  • Carry a small umbrella or rain jacket, since showers can occur unexpectedly, especially in spring and autumn.

What’s not allowed

  • Large suitcases and bulky luggage are not permitted on the tour vehicle, so please bring only small bags that can be stored easily.
  • Unauthorized drone use is not permitted in Český Krumlov, as the historic center is a protected UNESCO area.

Accessibility

  • This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Most of Český Krumlov's Old Town streets are narrow, steep, and paved with uneven stones.

Additional information

  • The tour departs promptly at 8:45am each day, so please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to ensure a smooth check-in.
  • You will meet your guide at Na Příkopě 23, Praha 1, which is centrally located and easy to reach by metro or tram.
  • Expect roughly 2.5 hours of travel time each way between Prague and Český Krumlov, depending on traffic conditions.
  • This tour may be conducted in two languages, so please be prepared for a bilingual experience during the guided portions.
  • Some parts of the castle complex are not accessible on Mondays during the winter season, and the castle museum and tower remain closed entirely from December 22, 2025, to January 1, 2026.
  • If traveling on June 19 or 20, be aware that the Five-Petalled Rose Festival is held during this period, and access to the historic center requires a 500 CZK (approximately €23) festival fee, which must be paid in cash to your guide before the tour begins.
  • You can cancel these tickets up to 24 hours before the experience begins and get a full refund.
